The first time I met Sheila, I will never ever forget.  It was my first day at a new school, Alberta Elementary.  Mrs. Hammner, the Principal, introduced me to Mrs. Cook, the teacher, and her second grade class, as a new student at Alberta.  I nervousely walked  down the aisle, between the desks of students that were all looking at new girl, to my appointed desk, and halfway to the desk  I dropped my pink bookcase and all my pencils and stuff fell on to the floor. Some of the students laughed, and then, this one girl got out of her desk and started helping me pick up everything and carrying all to my new desk.

From that day forward, I have never had a friend or met anyone like Sheila.  We went through Alberta, Eastwood, when her little brother, Chip, was sick and passed away, and then to Tuscaloosa High....the world is now a little less warm and friendly now, but heaven is now a  more warm and friendly place to be, because it  has received a very beautiful person in Sheila.

All my prayers,

Susie Robinson-Rogers
